Saturday June 21st is National Go Skateboarding Day. Many skate parks will be allowing free entrance. My family is very active, we love sports and outdoor activities. One of them is skateboarding. My daughter took an interest in it since her dad loves to skate and I like to try. She got her first board a few months back and is improving everyday plus she is learning that spills may happen but you have to get back up. An event like this is great to help get kids active and outdoors. Remember to always have your kids wear a helmet and proper safety gear. Also many skate parks offer lessons and camps, so be sure to drop into your local skate park tomorrow.
If you happen to be in San Diego tomorrow be sure to stop by the Museum of Man at Balboa Park. The Museum will have public skate from 1pm to 4:30 pm, which will be 30 minute skate sessions during this time on the half-pipe mini ramp inside the Museum. Also grab your board and get 2-for-1 admission. While inside be sure to check out the Ramp It Up exhibit. Don’t miss out on this great offer and amazing event.
Have fun skating!
