LEGO® Star Wars™ Weekend at Legoland is back!
I know I have some padawans that are pretty excited about this news. I hadn’t seen Star Wars™ Days on the upcoming events schedule at Legoland California, when I was checking out all of this years planned fun a couple months ago. Seeing the announcement that Star Wars™ Days was returning was a very pleasant surprise.
What is Star Wars Days?
Well its just like it sounds, it’s a weekend full of Star Wars themed fun from special builds to costume contests, photo ops and more. It’s two days dedicated to all things LEGO® Star Wars™. All of which is enhanced by the Miniland Star Wars™ expansions. The LEGO® Death Star was added in 2015 and just recently the Star Wars™ area expanded with new scenes from The Force Awakens; like Rey, Finn, and BB-8’s escape from Niima Outpost and Kylo Ren’s capture of Poe at planet Jakku. There is also the new LEGO® model Star Destroyer Finalizer which is the longest Star Wars™ Miniland model at 16-feet long!
What to Expect
LEGO® Star Wars™ are June 3rd and 4th, the fun is included with general admission to the park. Enjoy seeing lots and I mean lots of members of the 501st Legion members whose costumes are LucasFilm approved and are amazing and perfect for photo ops. Feel free to dress up as well, there is a costume contest for children up to 12 years old. This is really a fun event to see as well, some of the costumes are so creative. Take part in a Miniland Scavenger Hunt, a Droid Hunt (through the 501st legion), trivia, giveaways, and enjoy WB Games Family GameSpace featuring LEGO® Star Wars™ Video Games. And of course enjoy everything else the park has to offer. This is a can’t miss event!
May the force be with you and be sure to check out LEGO® Star Wars™ Days at Legoland California!

Southern California Great Wolf Lodge Grand Opening!
The Great Wolf Lodge here in Southern California will be open very soon! The Grand Opening is set for March 4th, but you can already book your stay now. I spoke about this amazing new vacation spot back in October when the announcement about its opening was made and now that day is here.
GWL is a vacation destination with themed rooms, activities like glow in the dark mini golf and mini spa, and of course it’s main feature the water park. Entrance to the water park along with character experiences are included with your stay. Oh and did I mention that it’s an indoor water park, so it doesn’t matter what crazy weather So-Cal is deciding to have as any date will be a waterpark day!
Let’s not forget that the GWL is in Orange County. That means it is close to Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, and the beach. Also if your up for a drive down to San Diego there is the World Famous San Diego Zoo, the museums at Balboa Park, Sea World and towards Los Angeles there is Universal Studios Hollywood and many great museums as well.
Below is a link to save on your stay at GWL, be sure to book your vacation soon!

Southern California is about to have another great family vacation spot this February. Great Wolf Lodge will be opening this year in Garden Grove. If you have not heard about Great Wolf Lodge before or have yet to stay at one, let me tell you what it’s all about!
Great Wolf Lodge is more than just another family friendly hotel, it is a vacation destination in it’s self. The Lodge features its own indoor water park, entertainment and activities for families, miniature golf, an arcade and more!
When you stay at the Great Wolf Lodge you are booking more than just a hotel stay. Even the rooms are more than just a typical hotel room. There are wonderful family suite rooms complete with a den for your cubs or a cabin to give you the feel for the outdoors.

Speaking of inclusions, there are quite a few activities included with a stay at Great Wolf Lodge. From character meet and greats to story time and a forest friends show, will help to make your vacation a blast. And there are plenty of other attractions to keep your kids entertained.
Like I said a stay at the Great Wolf Lodge is more than just a stay at a hotel, it’s an entire vacation spot itself! So be sure to check out this newest addition when it opens in February 2016.
It’s Halloween Time at the Parks!
From Disneyland to Knotts and from Sea World to Legoland its Halloween Time at the Parks. There is Trick or Treating, special events, holiday decor and more! Each Amusement Park has their own unique take on this spooky fun season. So here is what is going on at many Southern California based Amusement Parks.
Disneyland transforms much of the park for each holiday season and Halloween time is no exception. There is holiday decor through out the park and limited time themed treats and merchandise. The Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain also take on the Halloween fun. The Haunted Mansion has been taken over by Jack Skellington and his friends much like the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas. While Space Mountain takes you on an out of this world ghostly experience. And on select nights you can party and trick-or-treat with Mickey and his Friends during Mickey’s Halloween Party. This is a separate ticketed event that encourages guests to come dressed up and trick-or-treat through out the park, check out ghoulishly fun live entertainment, see Mickey and his Friends dressed up in their costumes.
Knott’s Berry Farm
Enjoy family fun at Knott’s Spooky Farm on weekends all October. This is the complete opposite of Knott’s Scary Farm offering non-scary fun geared towards children ages 3 to 11 years. Trick or Treat throughout Ghost Town or join the costume contest and dance party in Camp Snoopy. Bug out with slimy, slithery, crawlerly creatures at the Creepy Crawler Cabin. Or check out the whole Gang in “The Monsters are Coming, Charlie Brown” at the Camp Snoopy Theatre. All this spooky fun is included with general admission.
Vampires, Witches and other ghouls have taken over the park! The park is decorated for the holiday and there are special trick-or-treat trails when you join the fun of Party Nights. On Friday and Saturday nights join in on a bricktastic Halloween party during Legoland’s Brick-or-Treat. Enjoy live entertainment, special treat stations, costume contests, dancing and more. The party has expanded this year to Heartlake City and Fun Town. There are still stations throughout SEA LIFE Aquarium as well as Wanda’s Jelly Fish Disco where you can jump and jive the night away. There are two ticket options; choose from All Day with Party Nights or Party Nights only (which is perfect for those looking for family fun on a budget). Brick-or-Treat is a great Halloween time event for the whole family.
Sea World’s Halloween Spooktacular is going on every weekend until November 1st. Kids can come dressed up and trick or treat throughout the park. Trick or treating starts at 11am on event days. Stop by the Mermaid’s Grotto to meet and take a picture with some enchanting Mermaids. Play in the new kinetic sand bar or join the fun at the dance party hosted by DJ Cotton Candy. Don’t forget to check out the two Halloween time shows; Clyde and Seamore’s Big Halloween Bash and Sesame Street’s Who Said Boo?. Best part of all is children are FREE to the park with a paid Adult admission all October!
Have a Spooktacular time at the Parks!
